Masaki Rising Stars Concert

We were delighted to host an evening concert with Masaki’s Rising Stars of Brandon University on Wednesday, April 20th at the Baldur Memorial Hall during the Tiger Hills Festival of the Arts.  In the afternoon they entertained the students at Holland Elementary School.
Developed by Brandon University Professor and Pianist, Megumi Masaki, Masaki’s Rising Stars is a unique project dedicated to providing BU piano students with professional touring, performance and coaching experience while showcasing their talents to local, national and international audiences. Three of the five young people who entertained us are from Manitoba, one from B.C. and one an exchange student from China.  Although the audiences were not great in numbers they were most enthusiastic.
